Well, week 3 spilled into week 4. But that is okay. Life is fluid! Family and work have to take priority over house chores, always.
I opted for week 3 to be about taking care of the living room. I had, what I have referred to as the green beast; the fireplace wall that was left unpainted when we moved in. So, on day 1 I tackled painting the wall and mantel.
Talk about a much needed improvement. I can’t decide if I want to get tile to update the look of the fireplace or be happy with this until the wall is removed.
Since our living room isn’t that large and we don’t have bookshelves or a lot of furniture it was fairly simple to cover the remaining task in 2 days.
There are a few things needed to finish the look of the living room and pull it together but I want the right pieces not just any pieces. So, I’ll be on the lookout for lamps and nesting tables and new pillows.
This week I’m tackling the bedroom. This might stretch into the next week a few days because there will be more painting and I want to incorporate the ideas of a capsule wardrobe. I will share more about this idea as the week progresses.
Stay motivated and even if you get behind a week, like I did, just remember to jump back into it and know you will get it done!
